Jeep runs great on a rebuilt engine by Vintage Jeeps, Inc., Trans Mission
is solid (does not slip or jump out of gear), Added lockouts, 4 wheel

help them advertise thier WW2 1943 Willys MB petrol Jeep.Up untill about
three months ago she had been owned by a Classic enthusiast who had worked
on the vehicle over a two year period.
Due to health reasons the Jeep was aquired by some friends of mine and
the project is now 99% completed.I will update this listing in a timely
fashion but I believe she is a very origonal 1943 MB Model.
We believe through some research and engine numbers etc - she was a radio
car.The engine was out of the vehicle when she changes hands but had been
fully retored at conciderable cost and the last owner spent most of his
time collecting a number of items in a bid to complete the project.She
is now at the stage to be registered and plated.
The vehicle will be sold with V5 DOCUMENTS and plate.A radio mast - gun
holster and a number of cosmetic items have just been fitted, and I have
personally driven the vehicle and she runs fabulously.

had gloveboxes, this particular one --DOES-- have a glove box
Original Tub and Original Slat Grille. The air filter mount and the horn
mount are still mounted using the TR20 bolts.
The Gusset # 23719 putting it roughly in Feb 1942 as its born month.
Previous owners tried doing a few modifications but didn't follow through
with it. Replacing or repairing those areas won't be difficult at all.
There is small amounts of rust in the floorboard on the driver and passenger
side. Drivers side rust is about the size of a sand dollar and easily
fixable. The passenger side rust has less than the drivers side.
The tub has the original "Willys" stamp in the rear on the bottom
left side. I think someone was trying to mount a CB antennae and caused
a bit of body damage, no rust damage at the site. Windshield was slightly
modified and may need to be straightened up some for it to set down properly.
Motor that it has right now runs perfectly, transmission has an issue
with 1st gear, it will slip out every so often.

the M170 was a stretched M38A1. Only about 6,500 were produced, many outfitted
as field ambulances. One unique feature was that the spare tire was mounted
inside the body on the passenger side, to allow stretchers to extend over
the tailgate. And '51 military M-100 (made by Dunbar-Kapple)

comments A very complete, solid, and original 1945 Converto Airborne Dump
1/2 ton Trailer. This WW2 trailer was originally design for the U.S. Army
Corp of Engineers to be used as both a general purpose cargo trailer much
like the Willys MBT/ Bantam T3 and specifically for use beyond the capability
of the MBT/T3′s; for moving and dumping material. It is estimated
that there were about 6500 of these trailers produced during WW2 and is
ideally pulled by a Ford GPW or Willys MB jeep or a dozer.
This particular trailer came from North Carolina. From the markings I
recovered during the restoration I believe it was used at Laurinburg-Maxton
Airfield at least after the war. The Airfield was used to train glider
pilots during the war. I have included some before pictures and the markings
I uncovered at the end of the slide show above.
For a 60+ year old trailer the trailer is in truly amazing condition.
It is incredibly straight and solid. There are literally only 3 or 4 dents
or dings in the entire trailer and no really bowed panels. This trailer
is one of the finest examples of these trailers I have ever seen.
It has many original hard to find parts such as:
-Data plate
-thick lunette
-reinforced combat rims
-valve caps
-dump levers
-landing leg
-tailgate
and more
Considerable effort was made to make this trailer as correct as possible
with attention to the smallest details. The document pouch, data plate,
custom rivets, pins, and chains where created or obtained to match the
original. I used measurements for things like missing pins that I obtained
from another unrestored converto I have. This trailer was wet sanded for
markings, then blasted to bare metal, cleaned, degreased, and treated
with TM9 ordnance TM9-822 red oxide epoxy primer and their catalyzed urethane
shade #6. Body filler was not used in the preservation and there are only
a few small flaws. The trailer is bit pitted, It basically gives off the
appearance of being textured like a gpw or mb voltage regulator. You can
see this in the pictures. There are a couple of areas where the pitting
is deeper (such as the lower egde of the tailgate) but the metal is still
very structurally solid. Again this is one is very solid and complete.
The trailer has recently received:
-A Very hard to find NOS US ARMY Corp of Engineers document pouch with
custom rivets
-New Denman 6.00×16 NDT tires
-three wire cloth inter-vehicular cable composed of NOS components
-NOS BO light switch
-CB taillights
-reflectors
-NEW Wiring Harness from Vintage wiring of Maine
– a few new pins and chains
-TM5-9084 with supplement
-Trailer Dump lever rope
The Dump action is controlled by the middle lever which tilts the bed.
The side lever directly under the data plate controls the tailgate itself.
When the side lever is pulled the tailgate swings out from the bottom.
It’s also possible to pull the top pins and fold it down from the
top or remove the tailgate completely. The dump levers can actually operated
from the drivers seat of a jeep by pulling on the rope which the end loop
rests on the base of the shifter. So the load is not accidently dumped,
both the bed tilt and the tailgate mechanism have safety pins. Also the
tailgate has a small gate which exposes a circular hole to pour out smaller
amounts of material or can be a port for a nozzle to distribute liquids
in their own container. Another unique feature of the trailer is the bed
itself can be detached by pulling the two large dump pins and driving
away

comments 1943 Willys MB jeep sold as an ongoing project due to ill health
and space requirements. Many hours and much money applied to restore to
present condition. Extensive restoration prior to purchase in 1998 to
maintain its original condition. Reconditioned starter motor, new bendix
drive and Generator fitted. The vehicle runs on Unleaded fuel ( additive
applied )to maintain authenticity, new fuel system pump carburettor, fuel
lines fitted, new distributer and electics fitted following conversion
to 12 volt, complete with new battery, and instruments. There is NO rust
or corrosion on this vehicle. Fitted with new canvas seats & covers
etc. Starts first time and runs very well following major servicing. Steering
and track rods renewed along with springs and shock obsorders. This vehicle
is complete with many extras. Due to ill health the vehicle was declared
SORN as of May 2010 and requires an MOT, in the time I have owned this
vehicle it has never suffered an MOT failure. Please ring me for further
details as required. I am willing to consider realistic offers for this
vehicle, but please note NO equiries from outside the UK as I will NOT
